Lettuce Beet Hunger

Lisa Andrews, a seasoned dietitian and owner of Sound Bites Nutrition, has a mission to help those with food insecurity. In 2017, an estimated 1 in 8 Americans were food insecure, equating to 40 million Americans including more than 12 million children. (USDA).

Lisa has an online store where she sells “food pun” shirts and swag. I created the designs and identity for this program to help spread the word about food insecurity and her giving program, Lettuce Beet Hunger.

A portion of each purchase of food pun merchandise supports those with food insecurity by providing counseling, programs and nutrition education in the Cincinnati area.

Making a difference: When you wear, give or share a food pun shirt or swag, you support the mission and spread awareness of food insecurity in our community. T-shirts and cards are available at the Civic Garden Center Gift shop, Kennedy Heights Arts Center gift shop and Jackson Whitacre in Milford. Look for Sound Bites Nutrition at various farmers markets and festivals like Earth Day, too.
